Hi everyone!
I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to share my very first YouTube video -in English- with you. This has been a long time coming, and I’m thrilled to finally take the leap!
If you’re new here, welcome to my new YouTube channel—my name is Flor Pereira, and I’m here to share my journey, passions, and experiences with you.

1. My Name is Flor, and I’m From Argentina
My full name is Florencia, which is super common back home in Argentina, but maybe not so much elsewhere. I was born and raised near Buenos Aires, where all my family and friends still live. While NYC is my home now, Argentina will always hold a big piece of my heart.
2. English is Not My First Language
In Argentina, we speak Spanish, so learning English was a challenge I embraced early on. I took English lessons for over a decade as a kid and teen, then fell in love with the language through books, movies, TV shows, and YouTube. My love for languages didn’t stop there—I also studied Portuguese, a little French, and now I’m learning German!
3. I’m a Nerd Who Loves to Study
Confession time: I’m a geek. After high school, I went to law school, graduated as a lawyer, and worked in both a law firm and a bank in Argentina. While that chapter of my life taught me a lot, it wasn’t where my heart truly belonged.
4. My Journey as a Blogger Began in 2010
Back when blogging wasn’t a “thing” in Argentina, I started a fashion blog during my free time. It was one of the first in my country, and people had no idea what a blog even was! As the years went by, my blog grew, reaching more people and opening doors to social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and eventually YouTube.
5. I Moved to New York City in 2016
In 2016, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I left my job, my career in law, and my home country to move to NYC and start fresh. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. My then-boyfriend (now husband) was already in New York, so having him by my side made the transition smoother.
Since then, I’ve built a career as a blogger and content creator, sharing my life, passions, and insights with people worldwide.
Why I’m Starting This Channel
Starting a YouTube channel in English has been a dream—and a fear—of mine for years. Speaking in a language that isn’t my first made me nervous, but I decided to push past the fear and just go for it.
