Let’s be real—Instagram isn’t what it used to be. With new features, constant algorithm changes, and an overwhelming amount of content, it’s no surprise that so many of us feel stuck when trying to grow our accounts. Whether you just launched a new page or you’ve been posting for a while but feel like no one is seeing your stuff, I know how discouraging it can be.
That’s why I’m so excited to share this new YouTube video with you. I sat down with someone whose Instagram growth journey is seriously impressive (and inspiring!). Daniela Lopez—aka Dadatina—grew her skincare-focused account from 0 to over 400,000 followers in under two years. Yes, you read that right. Four. Hundred. Thousand. In less than 24 months.
And the best part? She did it organically, from scratch, and with a niche that truly helped people.
I’ve been following Daniela for years now. She’s originally from Argentina (like me!), and her mission from the beginning was to make skincare accessible. Her content focuses on affordable skincare, drugstore beauty products, and breaking down routines in a fun, relatable way.
If you’ve been dreaming about growing on Instagram or simply want to create more meaningful content that actually reaches people, this conversation is full of golden advice.

Here are some of the main takeaways if you want to grow your Instagram in 2025:
1. Find your niche—and don’t be afraid to own it
Daniela’s biggest advice? Figure out what you’re passionate about and what you’re good at explaining, then build from there. In her case, it was skincare—but specifically affordable skincare. She noticed there weren’t many (or any) creators focusing only on that in Argentina, so she leaned all the way in.
You don’t need to invent something entirely new. But finding that sweet spot between what you love and what your community needs can make a huge difference.
2. Be consistent (even when the algorithm feels chaotic)
Let’s talk posting schedules. Daniela found that posting on the same days at the same time each week made a huge difference in her engagement. Her followers knew when to expect new content—even if the algorithm didn’t always cooperate. She also used her bio and Stories to remind people when new posts were going live.
Consistency isn’t about burning yourself out—it’s about being reliable and building trust with your audience.
3. Actually engage with your audience (don’t just post and ghost)
Daniela made it a habit to stay online for at least an hour or two after posting—answering comments, replying to DMs, connecting with her followers. Even now, with hundreds of thousands of followers, she prioritizes replying to as many messages as possible.
The truth is, people want to feel seen. And when they do, they’re much more likely to keep coming back, engaging, and even sharing your content.
4. Keep your finger on the pulse
Staying ahead of trends doesn’t mean chasing every viral moment—but it does mean being aware of what your audience is curious about. Daniela pays attention to trends across platforms (like TikTok and YouTube), and brings those conversations to her own Instagram account, especially when they relate to skincare.
One of her biggest wins? Reacting to celebrity skincare routine videos in Stories and Reels—something no one else in her niche in Argentina was doing at the time.
5. Be okay with trial and error
Not every post is going to go viral. Some ideas will flop. Daniela’s advice? Keep going anyway. Track what performs well, but don’t be afraid to try new formats or topics. Even now, she posts content she knows won’t perform as well—because she likes it.
There’s a balance between serving your audience and staying true to yourself. And honestly, that balance is what helps your content feel genuine.
Final thoughts
I know the Instagram game can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re starting now in 2025. But after talking to Daniela, I was reminded of something really important: you don’t need a fancy setup, a massive team, or viral luck. You need clarity, consistency, and community.
If you’re starting or growing your Instagram account this year, I hope this video and blog post help you feel a little more inspired, and a lot less alone.
