About a month ago Foreo reached out to me, to see if I would like to review two of their new products, one of them being the FOREO UFO mini 2.
Y’all probably know I am already a big fan of the brand. I have been using the FOREO LUNA mini 2 for almost 3 years now and it’s a staple in my routine.
So I was honestly really excited about trying the new FOREO UFO mini 2, a device that promises to give you a professional grade facial, in under two minutes, and at home.
Out of the box, the FOREO UFO mini 2 is just as cute and well-designed as all of their products, made of silicone, metal and plastic.
Also important to note, the device is completely waterproof, which I really appreciate, cause it can be easily washed with soap and water after each use, and it brings a cable that you can plug to any USB port to charge it, and it lasts for many, many uses.
So… how does the FOREO UFO mini 2 work?
It does so with the FOREO masks, that you can buy separately. These maks have different properties and ingredientes, and can be used at different times depending on the occasion and your needs.
I received the FOREO Make My Day and Call It a Night masks. The first one has hyaluronic acid, perfect to hydrate your face for the day ahead, and the second one has ginseng and olive oil, to revitalize your skin before a good night’s sleep.
To use the masks, 1) you take them out of their individual packages, 2) remove the plastic transparent ring from the back of the device, 3) place it on top of the gold metal surface, and 4) place the plastic ring back in place, to secure the mask.
This might sound like too many steps, but it’s actually super easy, and not only that, there’s an app, the FOREO app, that guides you through the whole process.
The FOREO app lets you register and connect your device, and from there you can then select a treatment, and choose the one that matches the exact mask that you have.
The app enables you to fully customize your facial treatment, giving you the chance to have a 2-minute supercharged facial in the comfort of your home.
For the FOREO Make My Day mask, for example, the app guides you exactly on how to move the device around your face and also times the treatment, so you don’t need to worry literally about anything else rather than just enjoying your time.
For this treatment, you first get red led and thermo therapy, with sonic pulses.
What does this mean? The device emits red light, or infrared light. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to firm and lift skin. In theory, more collagen means that your skin will look smoother and fuller, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The device also gets warm and emits T-Sonic pulsations, which in turn push active skincare ingredients deep into the dermis for even better results.
In practice, this feels like a calm and relaxing treatment, gliding the mask through your face, while the device emits heat.
After that, the device switches to the green LED therapy treatment, which also includes T-sonic pulsations.
Green LED evens out skin tone, brightens dull complexions and softens age spots, dark circles and other discolorations.
With this part of the treatment the device goes colder, which feels like the perfect way to finalize the treatment.
In total, the whole thing takes around 2 minutes and it really does feel like an expensive treatment that you would get at a spa or your esthetician office, but right at home, and in no time. The brand said it better: the FOREO UFO mini 2 is a «2-minute supercharged facial» right at home, and this is true!
After a treatment using the Make My Day mask, I could see my skin immediately looking more smooth, more hydrated, and overall healthier.

In conclusion… what are my thoughts on the device?
+ On the plus side, I am all for taking good care of my skin, and eager to try new devices and gadgets that can help me with that.
– On the downside , the device is pricey, retailing for $179 on FOREO’s website, but you can get it for around $143 when it goes on sale on Sephora.
+ The good thing is that the device can seriously last for years. You can charge it over and over, and wash it after every use and you could literally have it for all of your life. So although pricey, it is more of a one-time investment.
– Masks have to be bought separately and only FOREO masks work with the device. This means extra money you have to spend periodically, and also not being able to use other sheet masks you might have.
+ The device and the treatments really feel luxe and elevated. Like something you would get with a professional, but you can do that while being at home.
– While one of the main selling points of this device is the fact that you can save time, I don’t really mind doing my regular sheet masks for 20 minutes once every week. I think in any case this can be complementary to that.
+ I do completely agree with the fact that the skin feels immediately hydrated and rejuvenated, and that both the warm effect and the pulsations feel soothing and pleasing.
– Lastly, when it comes to some of the advantages of using the device (such as the benefit of the LED lights and the enhanced absorption of the mask ingredients), I am not a certified professional to talk about this, but I will keep on using the device on my daily skincare routine and share my thoughts in a few months, stay tuned to my Instagram Stories!
My final conclusion is that if you love taking care of your skin, you already have a routine in place and you can splurge on this device, the FOREO UFO mini 2 is worth the money, especially thinking that it would literally last you for a lifetime.

Después de un tratamiento con la mascarilla Make My Day, pude ver mi piel inmediatamente luciendo más suave, más hidratada y en general más saludable.

En conclusión … ¿qué pienso sobre el dispositivo?
- En el lado positivo, estoy a favor de cuidar bien mi piel y estoy ansioso por probar nuevos dispositivos y gadgets que puedan ayudarme con eso.
- En el lado negativo, el dispositivo es caro, se vende por $ 179 en el sitio web de FOREO, pero puede obtenerlo por alrededor de $ 143 cuando salga a la venta en Sephora.
- Lo bueno es que el dispositivo puede durar años. Puede cargarlo una y otra vez, lavarlo después de cada uso y, literalmente, podría tenerlo durante toda su vida. Entonces, aunque es caro, es más una inversión única.
- Las máscaras deben comprarse por separado y solo las máscaras FOREO funcionan con el dispositivo. Esto significa dinero extra que tiene que gastar periódicamente y también no poder usar otras máscaras de hoja que pueda tener.

- Si bien uno de los principales puntos de venta de este dispositivo es que podes ahorrar tiempo, no me importa hacer mis máscaras habituales durante 20 minutos una vez a la semana. Creo que, en cualquier caso, esto puede ser complementario.
- Estoy completamente de acuerdo con el hecho de que la piel se siente inmediatamente hidratada y rejuvenecida, y que tanto el efecto cálido como las pulsaciones se sienten relajantes y agradables.

Mi conclusión final es que si te encanta cuidar tu piel, ya tienes una rutina establecida y puedes derrochar en este dispositivo, el FOREO UFO mini 2 vale la pena, especialmente pensando que literalmente te duraría toda la vida. .
