Hey there, beautiful people! 👋
It’s your girl Flor back with another blog post to accompany my latest vlog. If you’re new here (especially if you found me through my Taylor Swift Eras concert video), WELCOME! So glad to have another Swiftie join our little corner of the internet!
For those who don’t know me yet, I’m a thirty-something first-time mom living my best life in the concrete jungle of New York City. Between parenting adventures, content creation, and my lowkey obsession with books, life stays pretty interesting around here!
Life Throws Curveballs (But Sometimes They’re Sparkly)
So here’s what went down recently: we were SUPPOSED to be in Argentina right now. Bags packed, itinerary planned, the whole nine yards. But as any parent knows, kids have their own agenda sometimes! Julia got sick (she’s fine now, don’t worry!), and we had to cancel our trip at the last minute.
Instead of moping around about changed plans (okay, maybe I did that for like an hour), I decided to embrace the unexpected free time in NYC. The universe works in mysterious ways because suddenly I could attend some events I’d previously declined because of our travel plans!
The Main Event: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour
Let’s be real—this was the highlight of my month! I’ve been a Swiftie since forever, and experiencing the Eras Tour was everything I hoped it would be and more. If you’ve been too, you KNOW what I’m talking about. The outfits! The setlist! The crowd energy!
I’m still finding glitter in random places days later, and I’m not even mad about it.
What surprised me most was how emotional the whole experience felt. There’s something about being in a space with thousands of other people who all connect with the same music that hits different. Standing there singing lyrics I’ve had memorized for years alongside other fans who feel the same way? Pure magic.
May Wrap-Up
Since this vlog marks the end of May (how is it already June?!), I wanted to take a moment to reflect. This month has been a rollercoaster—from prepping for a trip that didn’t happen to unexpected NYC adventures to experiencing one of the best concerts of my life.
If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that flexibility is everything. Plans change, kids get sick, trips get canceled—but sometimes what replaces those original plans turns out to be exactly what you needed.
What’s Next?
As always, I’m posting weekly videos on my channel. If you’re into:
- Day-in-the-life vlogs of a millennial mom in NYC
- Behind-the-scenes content creator stuff (including how much YouTube actually pays—I keep it real around here!)
- Book recommendations and reading chats
- Random adventures like this one
…then hit that subscribe button, turn on notifications, and join the conversation in the comments! I love hearing from you all.
Until next week, Flor 💕
