NYFW Vlog Part 2: Three More Days of Fashion, Chaos, and Comfy Shoes

Hi friends 💛

Welcome back to the blog and to part two of my New York Fashion Week diaries! If you haven’t seen part one, I highly recommend starting there—but if you’re already caught up, let’s jump into the whirlwind that was Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of NYFW.

If you’re new here, hi! I’m Flor 👋🏼 I’m a 30-something content creator living in NYC, currently very pregnant, very tired, and very much still trying to wear something fabulous. I post videos and blogs weekly about content creation, productivity, life in New York, books, and now—more and more—about being a pregnant millennial woman trying to keep up with it all (while wearing sneakers, because let’s be real).

So let’s dive in: these were the last three days of Fashion Week, and in true New York fashion (pun intended), they did not disappoint.

🎥 Watch the Vlog

Before we get into the details, here’s the full video if you want to follow me around the city in real time, outfit changes and subway moments included:

☔ Sunday, September 11 – A Rooftop Show, A Designer Look, and Rainy Day Realness

Sunday kicked off with the Marissa Wilson runway show at the Public Hotel. I was so excited not just because of the rooftop location (even though it was raining 🙃), but because the designer dressed me for the show. That doesn’t always happen, especially while pregnant, so I was honestly touched.

They sent me a full lookbook and I picked out a jumpsuit that miraculously fit my bump. I layered it with a raincoat (because subway + cleavage is a no for me), but if you watch the vlog, you’ll see the full look in all its glory. A little sexy, very comfy, and perfect for Fashion Week.

It reminded me that sometimes, brands really see you—especially if you keep showing up, supporting, posting, tagging. That consistency builds relationships.

📅 Monday, September 12 – The Craziest Day (and the Most Sweat)

Monday was chaotic. My calendar had me at seven events, which was a bold lie I told myself because there’s no way I could physically do that, especially not with a baby bump and NYC traffic.

I canceled a few shows—which is something I always want to mention to other creators: cancel with grace. If you RSVPed and can’t make it, email the PR team. It takes five seconds and keeps the relationship positive. Ghosting is not the vibe.

For the events I did attend, I wore a bold orange H&M dress, cream boots (flats—my feet were DONE), and a green H&M bag. Honestly, the look was cute… until the NYC heat got the best of me and I became a walking example of why sweat-proof fabric should be mandatory. But hey, real life, real Fashion Week.

👟 Tuesday, September 13 – Colorful Chaos & The Final Shows

And just like that, it was the last day. Tuesday felt more chill (thank god). I had just two events: a runway show by ADEAM (which I never know how to pronounce correctly, please help) and a presentation nearby.

My outfit was a little bananas but in the best way: red glasses, a yellow Studio Collection H&M top (borrowed), red pants from ASOS that finally fit right now that I’m pregnant (??), and white sneakers because that’s all I can handle. My bag said “Darling, I’m Different” and honestly… that’s the vibe I’m carrying into fall.

After the shows, I grabbed coffee and debriefed with friends because let’s be honest—Fashion Week needs both an opening and closing ceremony. Preferably involving caffeine and carbs.

💭 Final Thoughts – What NYFW Really Feels Like (Especially Pregnant)

This second half of Fashion Week taught me a few things:

  1. Comfort is non-negotiable. Yes, even during Fashion Week.
  2. You can still be stylish and low-key at the same time. Or maybe especially then.
  3. Being consistent matters. People notice. Designers notice. You don’t need a million followers to make a genuine connection.
  4. Your body will change, and your wardrobe will adapt. And that’s okay.

Pregnant or not, NYFW can feel like a marathon. But it also feels like magic. Like the kind of chaos I moved to NYC for in the first place.

If you’ve ever dreamed of going to Fashion Week, or if you’re building your own brand as a blogger, influencer, or content creator—you can do this. Start small. Show up. Be kind. Be consistent. Your people will find you.

Thanks for coming along on this wild ride with me 🗽👗 See you in the next video—and in next season’s front row (hopefully in sneakers again).

With love,

Flor.
